The Friendly Backpackers
This hostel is very close to Spencer St station for trains and buses. It's
a very comfortable hostel, being of high standard and cleanliness. I really
liked this hostel due to its offers. During my short stay there, I found the
staff friendly and willing to make phone calls, even across the state without
charge to book the hostel

The Greenhouse Backpackers
This hostel is another in the chain with The Friendly Backpackers. However,
it's more expensive than the Friendly Backpackers. I found the staff very
friendly there and they were willing to book the bus to the airport for me.

Bimbi Park
Stay in this National Park and look for koalas at night or at the stars

Koorunda Park YHA, Gelantipy
- Clean dorms with duvets provided and radiator
- Kitchen in separate building
- Accommodation and breakfast $24, $12 for full dinner
- Optional activites: night hike, wall climb $5.50 each, horseriding $20
for about 1 hour

Amaroo Park, Phillip Island

in bar but cannot change here either - only the barman can do so

- Kitchen equipped with gas stoves, oven and grill, fridges and freezer
- No internet but free internet in library nearby (need to become a member
of library first) provided you book for it
- Close to tram line and stops - about 20 minutes to city
- TV room, TVs in some dorms
- Few mixed showers and toilets around the house
- Blankets may be provided on request
- Crockery given when rent and key deposit is paid
- About 15 minute walk to Coles supermarket or 3 minute to IGA
- Some dorms are spacious
- Security: no lockers provided, but keys provided for dorms
